FAQs

Q: What materials are your anchors made from?

A: Our anchors are built from steel tubing and flat stock, except the chain on the Classic Navy Anchor which is plastic to save on weight. The black and white anchors are powder coated. All others are finished in enamel paint.

Q: Do you offer custom colors, mounting options, design changes etc?

A: Yes! We are a fully equipped machine shop and can fulfill most requests. Customizations may be subject to additional fees. Contact us to make an inquiry.

Q: Why isn’t the 72″ tall version of the Classic Navy Anchor with Chain fully welded like the others?

A: The 72″ Classic Navy Anchor is too large for residential delivery when fully welded. The anchor must be shipped on a pallet which requires Freight shipping instead of standard Ground. We sell the 72″ version in knock-down form so that it can ship in two boxes. This allows us to ship to residential addresses and reduce shipping cost. If you have a commercial/business address and would like to order a fully welded version of the 72″ Classic Navy Anchor, contact us.

Q: Do you ship outside of United States?

A: We do not normally ship outside the lower 48 United States due to the weight of our products. Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, and International shipments may be arranged by contacting us.

Q: Can I display your anchors outside?

A: Absolutely! Our powder coat and enamel finishes are durable enough for exterior display.

Q: How long until my order will be shipped?

A: In-stock items usually ship within 2-7 business days. Out-of-stock and Custom Shop orders may take longer.

Q: Are your products really made in the USA?

A: Yes, indeed. The Anchor Shop is a brand of Atkinson Engineering, a precision manufacturing company in Lodi, WI since 1980.
